Packing for surgery is an important step in ensuring your hospital stay is as comfortable as possible. Using a checklist is a great way to ensure you don’t miss those must-not-forget items.
Our checklist covers the items you may have remembered (and a few you may have forgotten) to ensure you have the most comfortable stay in hospital post bariatric surgery.
These items are non-negotiable when you’re packing for surgery. Included are the basic items you need to ensure our team and other hospital staff can confirm your identity. It also includes items that you may need to assist you throughout your stay.
Personal items are those which you may not necessarily need to bring but will make your stay in hospital a little more comfortable. We recommend using a small bag that can be secured (such as a duffle bag with a zip) to store your belongings safely.
